Learn the art of Indonesian cooking at the Bali Asli Restaurant & Cooking School in Bali. Led by a trained chef, the hands-on class will teach you how to make traditional dishes like grilled fish, fern tip salad, duck wrapped in banana leaves, and peanut sauce. The course also includes transportation, lunch, and a market tour or local experience. Prices start from IDR800,000 (USD85) per person.
Bali Asli Restaurant & Cooking School offers cooking classes with different themes such as “A Day in the Life of a Balinese Fisherman” and “A Day in the Life of a Balinese Lady”. Each tour includes a different activity such as a market tour, fishing trip, or visit to a rice plantation.
Participants will then learn to make multiple Indonesian dishes such as grilled fish, fern tip salad, sate with peanut sauce, duck wrapped in banana leaves, and spice mixes. The menu can be adjusted for vegetarians or to accommodate dietary restrictions.
The cooking classes run with a minimum of 2 participants; the maximum class size is 10. The price includes pick up from Amlapura town center, Seraya village, Candidasa, or Tirta Gangga. Pick up from other locations in Bali is available for a surcharge.
